Dave is originally from a smallish town in the mid-west of Ireland. Closeted by the town's small-mindedness for years, moving to Dublin was just the thing he needed to build up his confidence and come out of his shell a little. Although he has never officially told his family (he has an older brother and a younger sister, as well as his parents) about his sexual orientation, rumours travel fast in his hometown and he has no doubt that they've heard it from someone at one point or another. None of this concerns him, however, as he rarely bothers to come home except at the holidays. It's quite likely that he'll have to face his demons sooner or later.....
